Sebastian enjoying a slice of summer!
Sunday: We explored Albuquerque, NM before flying home to Denver. We ate breakfast at Church Street Cafe (so yummy), then walked around Old Town. After a dip in the hot tub, we drove around and found The Yards, a farmers market. We love a farmer’s market! It was at a converted rail yard and I fell in love with the green glass windows! Photo opportunity!
Monday: I wore black Smart Pants from Maurices with a blue cardigan with black dots (all buttoned up as a top), my H&M black suede sandals and a sparkly beaded necklace. My looped ponytails made getting ready for work a breeze!
Monday was Eclipse day! While at work, some of my coworkers and myself took our eclipse glasses outside to witness the eclipse. It was a fascinating experience! The shadow with the crescents of the sun was so amazing!
Tuesday: I left my phone at home all day, so no fashion shots. It was a fashion repeat anyway. I shopped my closet and decided to wear a dark floral sundress from Kohl’s, with a black tee underneath, and over jeans. I’ve worn this sundress over jeans several times before (and in Italy). Here I am in the yard, after work, trying to get Sebastian to pose with me. He sure is a cutie!
The sunsets are so beautiful! The mountains are silhouetted – look closely or you almost miss them!
Wednesday: I wore a new pair of stretchy, ankle length, window pane printed pants from Kohl’s by Elle. I love them! I wore them with an old Mickey Mouse tee and an old black blazer. My Zara flats were the bling for this outfit! I adore these shoes – they are seriously a work of art! There was a gold theme to this outfit, the gold chain, earrings, gold accents on the Mickey tee and the gold studs on the shoes! Going gold for the win!
FYI: I was born in Orlando, FL, so mickey mouse is near and dear to my heart.
Thursday: I wore a kimono by Helena Quinn which was included in the Summer Box of Style from Rachel Zoe. I’m wearing the kimono with a black tank (not showing) and olive jeans from Old Navy and black suede sandals from H&M. As you can see from the middle pic, I got my hair partially colored and trimmed after work. I love the whole hair salon experience! It feels so indulgent to have my hair blow dried! Totally something I would love done on the regular.
Friday: I wore my very old jeans that I dipped in bleach (inspired by Cheryl at Northwest Mountain Living). I also cut the hem on these jeans to make them fray. I wore a color dipped sweater by Chaps from Kohls with the jeans to create a mirror image of the jeans. I wore white sneakers from Target to fully embrace casual Friday!
Friday night: another dramatic sunset over the Rocky Mountains…just mesmerizing to me!
Saturday: Very early morning flight. I was at the airport by 4:30 am to catch a 6:00 am flight to Atlanta to visit my Dad and sisters. Thankfully I was able to get a good nap on the flight! The second picture is a picture of Atlanta as we were preparing to land, coming in from the west side of the airport, much less populated on that side. I’m always amazed at all the trees in Atlanta.
Hope you had a good weekend. Thank you so much for reading my blog. I welcome any comments and/or suggestions as I’m so new at blogging.
