Sunday: In between watching the weather channel on Irma hitting Florida, I spent the day being productive around the house – went through my closet thoroughly! There is a theme this week in that I’m mainly wearing clothes I’ve had for years – but feel new again since I shopped by closet!
Different is not Dangerous tee, black leggings and a black felt derby hat…and Sebastian! Perfect Sunday.
Sunday night sunset over the Colorado Rockies. Picture taken from our deck. Longs Peak is one of the few 14’ners on the Front Range. Longs Peak has a 14,259 ft elevation. Another popular 14’ner on the Front Range is Pikes Peak, which has an elevation 14,110 ft.
Monday: Wearing a short-sleeved blue and silver sweater from Loft (old) and white distressed jeans from Express. Layered on the silver bracelets and added a bib silver necklace from Chicos. Finished off the look with silver flats (old). Let’s get this week started.
Tuesday: Wearing a quilted olive dress with gold zippers (old). I wore a gold chain necklace and bracelet from Ann Taylor (old), nude snakeskin pumps (old), and my favorite accessory…a sunflower (new)!
Tuesday night: I had some neighborhood friends over! So fun catching up! I’m wearing DIY distressed leggings and a black graphic tee.
Wednesday: Wearing black harem pants from Hush-UK with a mixed metal cross tee (old), a black blazer (old) and black Nine West pumps. Also wearing mixed metal drop earrings that have been my favorite for many, many years. Don’t you just love this vintage Ford truck. When I saw it at Isabelle Farms and had to stop!
Thursday: My Friday this week! I’m wearing a burgundy bow tie blouse (old) with pink distressed jeans by Jennifer Lopez from Kohl’s and pink patent leather loafer mules from Marshall’s. I wore a pink cardigan from Target (old) in the middle picture (and all day in my cold office).
Friday: Well, my birthday turned out to be a HUGE surprise! My hubby told me to plan for a trip to the beach. He was out-of-town on business and was flying home on Friday and we would leave on Saturday for the beach. Instead…he was planning all along to bring my 86-year-old father to Colorado for the first time since we’ve lived here for a long weekend visit. They pulled off the biggest surprise ever! I arrived home from running and saw my Dad, to say I was surprised was an understatement. I cried and cried (from joy). I never thought he’d make the trip out here. My husband made the flight as easy as possible – escorting him to/from Atlanta, wheelchair assistance, early boarding, TSA pre-check, etc. In case you haven’t heard…I have the best husband EVER. And an awesome dad too! I’m a lucky girl for sure.
Saturday: The mountains were calling his name. Saturday morning, we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park. My dad was a volunteer forest ranger in 1995 at RMNP so he was so thrilled to go back and see this beautiful country. He loved being back in the mountains, and he said he forgot how beautiful Bear Lake was. He even bought himself a new Stetson hat as a souvenir! I guess my love of hats comes from him!
Saturday: Had to get in a quick fashion shot! Red sweater from H&M, red sock boots from Zara, distressed jeans from Express. Necklace from Murano, Italy.
