If someone asked you what you did in November, what would you say?  It kinda becomes a blur doesn’t it?  So I joined up with a couple of other bloggers to keep track of the month of November with a sentence and some photos.

It was a warm and breezy day, up to 70 degrees!  SO nice to have a warm day!  I made my first spaghetti squash recipe.  I’ve been intimidated to try spaghetti squash in the past.  I made a weight watchers recipe called Italian Turkey and Spaghetti Squash Pie.  It was pretty good!  My advice:  add more spices for more flavor.  I’m definitely looking for more recipes to try!

It was a good day – I had a busy day at work and then enjoyed my evening talking to my dad and Dray on the phone, while I lounged in front of the fireplace.

November 3, 2017

Good day at work, even got to hold a friend’s baby!  Love that! Babies just fill your heart!  I made chicken/vegetable soup after work…good for the soul they say!

I took Sebastian to the vet for a shot that was due.  He didn’t eat much last week and I was shocked he lost 9lbs.  He hasn’t weighed under 115 since he was one year old. He is now weighing in at 111.8. Otherwise he is doing good.  I think he is over whatever was making him not eat last week.

Getting Sebastian in my Jeep is not as easy as “jump in”.

After getting my hair cut and colored, I drove all over Flagstaff Mountain. Beautiful day to explore!

Hung out at the house organizing my closet and planning my outfits for the week.  Along with some general cleaning and laundry.  My favorite kind of weekend day is to not wear make up and to not leave the house.  Time to relax along with being productive is the perfect mix.

November 6, 2017

Monday ended on a high note!  I met up with a couple of HR colleagues in Boulder and we talked the night away. It was such fun catching up!

We got snow! Yes, I love it! Even if we only get an inch or two.

November 8, 2017

Today was super busy at work and I love it!  After I got home, I packed for my upcoming trip to Atlanta.  Excited!

November 9, 2017

Trying to get everything done at work and home before my trip.  Do you do that too? Impossible!?!  Thursday night Dray and I attended the first fashion show for Denver Fashion Weekend.  It was very well done and so much fun to see all the local fashion enthusiasts attending.  The show was very good.  The venue, music and food were outstanding. The last picture (of the 4 above) was a picture of my favorite outfit from one of the attendees – not from the fashion show itself.

Flight to Atlanta.  Yes, I was up at 3:30 am to catch a 6:00 am flight to Atlanta.  I’m headed to Atlanta to visit my dad and attend my niece’s babies 1st birthday.  Fun family time!

First birthday party day!  Lots of prep and then lots of fun!  Over 30 people attended and Charlee had a blast!  I got to see two sisters today, Karen and Sherry at the party.

November 12, 2017

Visited another niece’s new home decor store in Tate, GA.  53 Market is just beautiful and I’m so proud of her!

Charlee took her first steps.  She walked to her Great-Grandpa first and then all across the room to her mommy!

Ran errands and cleaned up my Dad’s house. It feels so good to help him out and he appreciates the help so much.  Now he can relax for a week because all of the cleaning and laundry is done!  My sister Valerie came over.   It was so fun to catch up.  We enjoyed a wonderful Italian dinner out.

Flight back to Denver.  I pretty much slept the entire flight!

November 15, 2017

Another busy day at work.  After taking a few days off I had hundreds of emails to review and about the same amount of resumes to review for a couple of positions I posted. Good to be home.

November 16, 2017

After work a girls night get together.  We call ourselves the Real Housewives of Vista Ridge (our subdivision).  Ha!!   Yes, I brought Middle Sister wine to enjoy!

November 17, 2017

Dray’s 3 boys have arrived for the Thanksgiving holidays.  So nice to have the house full.

November 18, 2017

I made rice krispy treats and deviled eggs for the boys.  A full house feels good.  Pictured are 2 of the 3 boys, Graham and Jordan.

November 19, 2017

Finally got out an exercised!  I ran/walked 4.5 miles.  Walk up the hills, run down them.   I need to exercise more.  Exercising once a month is NOT impressive.  😦

November 20, 2017

Just another day in paradise.  Go to work and then home.  Nothing eventful, just a routine that I’m thankful for and appreciate daily.

November 21, 2017

Starting to think about our Thanksgiving meal.  Pictures of Dray’s 3 boys.

November 23, 2017

Thanksgiving.  I ran/walked 4.5 miles this morning! Dray made the turkey in an infrared cooker, a greaseless fried turkey, injected with juicy yummy flavors.  It is seriously the best!!  I made the sides.  The dinner was fabulous!  We enjoyed a little wine with dinner!

November 24, 2017

I ran/walked 4.5 miles again this morning!  Today I timed myself, 55 minutes.  Not bad for running and walking!

November 25, 2017

Dray’s boys flew back to Georgia.  I ran/walked 4.5 miles again this morning.  Spent the beautiful, warm, sunny day around the house doing laundry and eating leftovers.  Dray and I watched the documentary I am Elizabeth Smart.  It was powerful story with her speaking throughout it.

November 26, 2017

I walked 3 miles to the grocery store and back.  I bought 5 items and put them in my back pack and walked back home.  Another beautiful, warm, sunny day around the house getting lots of cleaning and laundry done.  I made banana bread. Yum!  Dray and I watched the movie Aloha with Emma Stone and Bradley Cooper.  It was really good.

Love is in the air.  It’s our 7th wedding anniversary today.  Going out to celebrate at Happy Sumo restaurant at Orchard Mall.  Loved seeing all the holiday lights there too.

Been really busy at work and I’m loving it.  Tonight I met up with some neighborhood friends to play Mahjong.  I lost 4 out of 4.  😦   Dray made vegetable soup with turkey leftovers and it was delicious!

Beautiful morning sunrise!  Another busy day at work – getting ready to hire 5 new employees next week!  Enjoyed a quiet evening at home and eating yummy turkey/vegetable soup.

November 30, 2017

Last day of the month.  I’m not sure who is going to read this blog post, but it’s been fun.  I’ll end it with the cutest picture of our Golden Retriever, Sebastian.

  1. It’s so enjoyable seeing how much you accomplished this month, Cindy!
Of course I had to laugh at how you get Sebastian into your jeep. He is ok, right? It’s not usually good when they are losing weight…..
And it’s so incredible that you are able to go back to see your dad and relatives so often!!
Happy Anniversary!!! How was Happy Sumo?? I’ve never heard of it…..

    • Yeah, Sebastian can’t jump AT ALL! So it requires some heavy lifting! ha! He is having some tummy issues I think. I do worry as he is getting older. It has been coming and going for the last couple weeks. Hopefully nothing serious. I love going to see my Dad and helping him in any way he needs me. He is such a sweet man! Happy Sumo is delicious! It’s at the Orchard Mall, offers sushi and cooked menu items. BTW, I linked up! Thanks for the reminder.

  2. Another great read for the month Cindy, I enjoyed your goings on and hearing about Thanksgiving as we don’t do that down here. Good on you for getting out and running/walking – I love doing that too and I enjoy listening to audio books as I go around my forest walks. See you next month. 😊

    • Thank you Debbie for reading and commenting. Blogging is new to me so I appreciate hearing from you! I like audio books too. Usually on road trips though. I’ve never listened to music or books when walking/run. I’ve only started to incorporate walking – I used to only run. Getting older and inconsistency made me start out walking. 🙂

  3. Great photo of helping Sebastian into the car. May need a ramp! Or my husband would probably build an escalator…. haha
Hair cut and color day…. oh glorious day!
I’d love to go to a fashion show! I just need someone to go with. I love watching project runway. 🙂
    Charlee is adorable!
Cute boys. I sometimes miss a house full of kids. But then again, the empty nest sure is good!!
    Beautiful wedding picture! Happy Anniversary.
I read it. And I enjoyed it! But the best thing about these sentences is being able to rehash and see the good in every day of my month.

    • We bought a ramp for Sebastian when he was much younger and he wouldn’t do it. Even with food to encourage him. I think he was afraid of heights, he is afraid at the groomers too. I wish you lived around here to go to fashion shows with me! I’d love to go with a girlfriend! I like having my husband’s boys home and I like the empty nest. A mixture is so nice. Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate them. Cindy

  4. Thrilled to have you joining us for Sentence a Day. What a fabulous month you’ve shared. Love the photos of the beautiful skies. And I love snow and will take it in any amount.

Happy anniversary! My Prince Charming and I have been married 9 years. Kissed a number of frogs before I found him. Totally worth the wait. Your wedding photo is gorgeous.

Enjoyed a chuckle about the Real Housewives of Vista Ridge and your bottles of Middle Sister wine. Wonder if my sister, the middle child, has tried that? Is there an older sister version.

Hope you will continue to join our fun. You have a lovely family.

    • Thank you for your comment! I’m so glad you like sunrise and sunset pictures. I love them and feel I have to share them! The Middle Sister red wine is pretty good! I was a little shocked as it was mid-priced. I don’t know if there is an older sister version. 🙂 The housewives of Vista Ridge get together about every month. More pictures to come in the December blog. Yes, I’m keeping it up! Thank you so much. Cindy

  5. Sebastian is one of the cutest Golden’s I’ve ever seen. Sounds like he had some bug and hopefully it’s just a blip in the radar and he’s been doing really well since then.

Love your sky photos and also wanted to say Happy Belated Anniversary. Your friend’s baby is adorable pretty darn adorable. I enjoyed reading your sentence a day post. Have a great weekend hun and Happy Holidays! 🙂

    • Thank you for reading and commenting on my Sentence a day blog. I appreciate your support! Sebastian was the sweetest dog ever! Unfortunately we had to put him down last Monday. The vet thinks he had a tumor in his stomach and he quit eating all together. I’m heartbroken to say the least. I’ve shed a lot of tears for that puppy!

I love sunrises and sunset pics too.
      Happy Holidays to you.
